NEWS OF THE DAY!
"EGYPTIAN CHRONICLE"
DAY OF FULFILLMENT BEGINS!
The day of release had come, once more Joseph’s clothing tells the story.
The coat his father gave him, those thirteen years earlier had promised leadership
and ruling.
The robes which Pharoah gave Joseph signified the fufillment of the promise.
In Joseph’s case this was all part of God’s plan.
The Robe
This time his robes are robes of authority.
Joseph is now a ruler.
He is Pharoah’s right hand man.
He is clothed in Fine Linen, a sign of royalty.
The Ring
On Joseph’s hand, Pharoah placed his very own Signet Ring which signified Joseph’s new status and authority.
With the ring, Joseph would sign and seal on behalf of Pharoah.
Pharoah’s seal showed that all authority had been given to Joseph.
He could do anything in the name of the King (Pharoah).
Just as the Father has put all authority in the hand of Jesus, we also can act on the
authority which Christ has given us.
The Gold Chain
The Gold Chain around Joseph’s neck also signified his office and authority.
As Joseph rode in the chariot, a runner ran before the chariot crying ‘Bow the knee”.
Once again, we are reminded of Jesus:
Philippians 2: 10-11.
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”.
