Sad to Joyful

Hannah poured out her heart to the Lord

1 Sam 1 : 10  Hannah made a solemn promise:Lord Almighty look at me,your servant! See my trouble and remember me! Don’t forget me! If you give me a son,I promise that I will dedicate him to you for his whole life and that he will never have his hair cut”

hannah's key opened the door

Hannah's key is our key!

  • A key opened the closed door.

A key is made up of bits which must fit together to allow the door to open.

Hannah’s Key.

  •  Undeterred by Those Around Her
  •  Knocking
  • Persisting
  • Crying Out
  • Total commitment
  • Putting her Faith In Action

postscript:

She kept her commitment and when the child was weaned, she took him to the Temple to live to be trained as a priest.

What a marvellous thing she did, she gave back to God the very child she had asked for.

She did this happily. This is amazing prayer of praise and thanksgiving, she

spoke immediately after dedicating Samuel, permanently for God’s service in the Temple.

These words showed her faith in believing that God is no persons’ debtor.

There are prophetic words and much insight shown in these verses which show the

wonderful work God had done in her.

She did not go back on her promise she gave him fully to serve in the temple, visiting him only one a year and taking him a coat, she made.

God later blessed her with 5 more children
